So, brand new versions of Thrill Seeker, Towers Guide and now Thorpe Guide are out there - and we're real happy! So happy, in fact, that we've been working with an extra spring in our step to bring you our 2.1 update.

Version 2.1 will include a number of bug fixes, as well as one new feature - 'Day Planner'. Day Planner will allow you to create itineraries for your theme park trips and check off items as you go along. I'll go through a few screenshots to show you what it's looking like at the moment.

The Day Planner screen will consist of a list of trips which you've created, in this screenshot a trip named 'Emily's Birthday' has been added. As you can see, it's a trip to Alton Towers and it takes place on 17th July 2010:

When you tap on a trip you'll see a list of all the items you've added to that trip. You can filter these items by the ones you've already visited, the ones you've yet to visit or just view them all. This is what it looks like:

You'll be able to add items to the planner by tapping the plus icon on either the planner screen or any individual item screen. You can re-order the items or delete them simply by tapping the edit button.

So, very briefly, that's a look at the new Day Planner feature we've been working on. We hope to have the update available next week for all three of our apps.

Last Friday we gave you Thrill Seeker 2.0, yesterday we gave you Towers Guide 2.0 and today we're very pleased to announce a new addition to our line-up - Thorpe Guide.

Thorpe Guide, as you may have guessed, is an app just like Towers Guide but for Thorpe Park. It covers all of the rides, attractions and facilities and inherits the same great features found in both Towers Guide and Thrill Seeker.

The app is priced at just 59p and available from the iTunes app store today. Visit the Thorpe Guide website for more information.

Hot off the heals of the Thrill Seeker 2.0 release, we're pleased to announce that Towers Guide 2.0 is now available.

Towers Guide puts Alton Towers in your pocket, giving you detailed information on all of the park's rides, attractions and facilities. It can also display your position on a map and give you intelligent, sat-nav like directions to wherever you want to go.

Towers Guide offers the exact same functionality as Thrill Seeker, the difference being that it only covers the Alton Towers Resort. What's great about Towers Guide though, is that it's totally free.

So, if you're unsure about whether to get Thrill Seeker, downloading Towers Guide is a great way of trying out the functionality. If Thrill Seeker doesn't interest you at all, then Towers Guide is just a great free app!

You can download it now from the iTunes store.
